There are a number of products around, Photblocker being one, that obscure your number plate from prying cameras. Do they work and are they just a household product in a different can. Also I was told that if BiB try to laser a very low car with limited flat frontal areas it was very dificult as only flat frontal areas reflect any laser/radar, is this true? Well I can hope!

On one of those police camera action tv programs they pulled some lad in a golf who's number plate they could read with their eyes but on the police cars camera it didn't show up, needless to say they booked him for it.

I thought it was the flash that obscured it!

Something like that yes, I thought about that when I saw the video but the officers commented on it also & I tohught it was very well spotted by the BiB.

Very illegal to do.

What? Like a TVR T350?

From experience... not difficult at all.

Actually processing the ticket correctly and giving me 3 points... well that's another story.

What's the fine for using it? Is it endorsable.

I've heard you can get a minor telling off (and £30 fine) if some local "kids" stick pictures of Beckham all over your plates. For £30 it's almost not worth peeling them off until you get told too.....

If you're that bothered, just take the plates off full stop. Any dicking about with them will land you in hot water, just not having them on in the 1st place is no big deal by comparison.

I seem to remember from a previous thread, that tinkering with your plate (adding chemicals to block photos and stuff) is a worse penalty than taking them off and reattaching them when pulled.

If you are prepared to be that naughty, why not just arrange for the rear one to "fall off, officer" as you leave the garage ? IIRC it is only a £30 fine.

Taking the plates off is a great idea apart from the fact it cost £30 everytime you see a police car. So surely you can claim you didn't know someone had already put it on there.......after all, you can't see it! As for sticking to the spped limits.....errrr, no!
