New type of specs out by Cumbernauld?

Was driving out to Stirling the other day and had just gone past Moodiesburn heading for the Auchenkilns roundabout when I saw 2 cameras mounted on tripods on a bridge over the dual carriageway. On the next bridge the same (both bridges had small Fiesta/Nova unmarked silver cars parked on them).

As far as I'm aware specs needs to be mounted on a static fixture. Or am I wrong and specs is now mobile?

Sounds very much like ANPR to me - numberplate recognition cameras.

Nothing to worry about AFAIC.
