Friend of mine.

Correct reg, but wrong vehicle make.

Does he have any grounds to get out of it?

No, my "friend" was parked slightly naughtily, my "friend" would just rather have £xx in his pocket.

D'oh - my "friend" gets you.

It really isnt me by the way.

Of course, assuming his plate had been cloned, he wouldnt have had the fine, so does he just not pay until he gets a letter?

Carefull, those parking people use digital cameras of the vehicle to prove ticket stuck, location, make and model.!!!!!

Yes this is very true.If the plate was cloned you would still get the ticket as the car and reg is registered to your friends address. If it were me i would just pay up though.

Depends on how wrong the make is.
ferinstance
Friends car a BMW Mini.
Make quoted is a Range Rover.
Then go for an appeal on a 'cloned' vehicle

Didn't he get the ticket because it was stuck on the car? Difficult to claim a clone if so.

"If" someone had cloned my car how would I know a ticket had been stuck on it?
