When riding to work along the Old Kent Road I spotted a couple of uniformed officers on scooters.
Does the Met have a problem finding the readies for some new Pan Europeans? Or are they trying impress yoof on scooters?
Does anybody have the answers?

Are we talking mopeds here or the childhood hoof along with one leg type scooters?

I am sure its the former, but the latter would be a marvellous comedy sight!

They were definitely the motorised, sit-on variety.

Its cos the cops have no money. The scooters are replacements for panda cars and are for getting places (in traffic jams I would imagine) rather than chasing folk.
They're certainly not traffic devision. If they were it would just encourage car crime.
