Difference between ANPR & Speed Camera Vans
Discussion
Anyone know if there are any major differences between ANPR and "safety" camera vans used by Surrey Police.
Reason - on way home from work this evening - A3 towards Guildford not a lot of traffic around - come round a slight left bend and there is a large Renault Traffic type striped up van parked right in the hedge on the left hand verge.
Didn't see any cameras above the blacked out rear windows.
Question: I was doing 66/67 in a 60 limit - anyone know, if it was a "safety" camera, am I likely to get NIP'd.
Thanks

Has anyone else noticed that Scamera vans only seem to be out in daylight between the hours of circa 8am - 6pm ???
Would I be right in thinking that these things dont have 'night vision', hance the reason for daylight hours, or is it just that the operators like to get home at a decent time after a hard days robbing ?
Also, would I be correct in thinking that the lasers dont work that well in rain / haze / fog ??
Cheers
