News on the Road Angel

Development is well on its way for a "improved" laser detection attachment.
i bought my road angel to fit in the TVR and found it went mental every few yards alerting me to a non-existant mobile unit. when unplugged, the gps system worked fine. a replacement laser attachment was tried and the same result.
i have spoken to blaskspot and they have advised that this problem has occured before, and certainly in TVR's. something to do with the electrical current inside the car.
So development is well underway for a new laser alert attachment to solve this problem. This will be particularly beneficial to motorbikes, who were facing the biggest problem on this front. Its expected the system will be out within a couple of weeks from now.

So will they exchange all the existing detectors for the improved ones or expect us to fork out more dosh?
I'm impressed you've managed to get this much information out of them - I reported this problem ages ago (worked OK in car, went mental when fitted to bike) and despite numerous follow-ups, the best I managed to get was that 'they're working on it'
The Road Angel itself is a good bit of kit but I'm not impressed with their technical back-up.

This is true for most companies in my experience, and is not a sign of bad support from Blackspot.
If it's anything like my business email address, then I probably only read about 50% and reply to 20% of emails, due to heavy workload.
It's much better to use the telephone
