Looking through the massive amount of info on the web, everyone says just don't sign it.

My NIP has two spaces for signatures, one for part 1 ("...was the driver at the the time of the alledged offence") and one at the bottom for the declaration, saying all that i've written above is true.

The question therefore is, which bits to get signed, which not, both not?? If its not signed, is it recommended to not fill in the date or other details two in the declaration, or just the signature?

Needs to go in the post ASAP, advice appreciated!

That is kind of what I suspected, but what about the dates, date of birth etc etc in both sections?

AFIK you must fill in all the details except your signiture. The s172 requires the providing of details but the signiture can be used as evidence of a confession. So you fill in all the details to avoid the failure to provide details but do not sign it anywhere. You can send a covering letter as well but again you must not sign it.

The ABD has info on this and do a google search theres other pages as well.

Hope this helps.
