Just been stopped by the BiB after passing an ANPR van. Had nothing to worry about as the car is MOT'd, taxed and insured and wasn't speeding etc.
Apparently the system failed to identify/read my number plate for some reason and the BiB thought that I might have a "special" number plate (?). Am assuming that they thought I had one of those plates with the "special" anti speed camera relective film or spray you occasionaly see on ebay.
BiB were fine about it after realising my plates are just normal standard ones, normal font and spacing. Can only imagine some fault with ANPR or BiB's were bored.
What is the law on these films/spray and do they actually work? Also would the location of my plate - very close to ground and maybe angular shape of car have any difference to the ANPR system? Car is a Lotus Elise S2.
