"Racing on Merrion Rd"

Just got pulled for allegedly racing some guy who was behind me in a silver VW Bora. (He was pulled too)
They did the whole flashing lights and red angry faces thing. Then they parked across me in the bus lane at the bottom of Shrewsbury Rd....In case I decided to make a run for it.
Admittedly I may have pulled away a bit quickly from the lights at Vincent's Hospital but "RACING"? I'm pissed off.
I don't think it would have happened had the other driver not been driving so close behind. (which he had been doing from near Blackrock)
Guard said I "must have" been doing 100 kph in a 60 zone but as he didn't have a speed gun I would only receive a caution. (Definitely wasn't doing 100)
Had licence with me and all discs up-to-date so the only thing he could do to me was tell me to bring my insurance and nct cert into a station within next 10 days.
All the same "lesson learnt".
