Euro points/tickets

Apologies if this has been covered ad nauseum but...

I read somewhere recently that there are moves to make sure that speed camera offences will be able to 'follow you home' ie if you are zapped abroad the points/fines will be able to be issued back in Blighty

Can anyone advise on when/if this will be coming in? Im planning a trip over to Reims later this summer (summer? what summer? ) so am particularly interested in France...

Been muted now for some considerable time and they have just got round to accepting Disq in NI applies to Uk.

Hugh administrative hurdles to climb yet so will take time. Haven't heard of anything imminent as yet - 2 - 3 years my guess.
