Northampton percentages?

This week, virtually every Truevelo in Northampton has had vehicle counting rubber strips and boxes placed by the side of them. Are they recording for percentage reasons? Is it happening anywhere else?

Also happening in wellingborough. Think they are testing to see if there is a reduction in traffic levels? I remember them using the traffic counting "loops" before they installed the scamera on rushmere road..

This is apparent in lots of areas in Berkshire at the moment. I do not know the reason. I will try and find out. Some places have 'Archer' systems before, within and after the Gatso sites.
