Have now had the jammer fitted along with the adapter linking it to a Road Angel.

Your supposed to be able to test its functioning by using a standard IR remote (TV, video etc) held close to the sensor. Unfortunately, none of the remotes I have are doing the job. I'm planning to arrange a 'proper' test with a laser gun soon but want to make sure the unit isn't dead before hand.

If anyone has managed to trigger their LRC100 with a household remote can they let me know what was used please. I can then download the IR codes into a Pronto remote and try mine.

You need 3 remotes to make it fire off at you.
Usually by pressing half a dozen buttons on all of em at the same time is enough to get the snooper screaming.
*Safety warning* dont look directly at the lrc at close range when its active! The normal eye response by closing the pupil wont work as its in Infra red and can damage your eyesight! Be careful!

me and my mate at work both bought a Road angel at the same time. We are both un sure about the laser detector.

Some time soon we will be taking his (mine goes mental) to work where we have various laser emiting devises which we can play with.
will let you know if we can get the thing to go off and hopefully the road angel will read moblie.

well I was going to try various scanning devises we have at work(bit like bar code readers)
also some of the machines I work on have nice big beems that are used as safety devise.

If that fails there are several machines that use lasers although they use them for welding I'm sure they wont damage anything

I've tried various combinations of remotes laying round the house and still no luck!

Check Steve Warren's site www.ukspeedtraps.co.uk

He's got a forum (deltaf's other home), or you can email him.

He can test your kit, too.
