Sussex Police Got a Lotus?

Driving from Horsham to Crawley at lunctime today and as I approach the last roundabout before Cheals roundabout a Lotus (I think!) in what looked to be full police livery went round the roundabout in to the Bewbush. Once I was on the roundabout I could just see the back of it as it went into Bewbush. Didn't follow it to see what and where!

I assume it was some form of promotional vehicle? Anyone know anything about it?

it's an exige, and yes apparently a promo tool that they use at car meets etc - there was a picture of it on the lotus forum...
