Hi,

Just wondering if there is anyway at all of being able to put my T reg plate on an older Japanese Import car?

I wouldn't be too bothered but the plate was a Christmas present from my OH and i'd like to be able to use it.

Thanks

Tim

That answer my question, didn't know whether or not there was some loophole or something.

Thanks again

Tim

If the car had been bought in the UK, and had never previously been registered, then when it is registered it is given a current year plate.

(Which totally contradicts a post I made ages ago as I've since re-checked my facts!)

I remember there were 1 or 2 J and K plate Ur quattros running around - even though the last one was built in March '91.

I had an audi cab that ran on an 'S' plate, despite being a 'P' plater, but that was because it was bought new on the Isle of Man, then brought to England before it was three years old.
