Skip forward to one minute in, and listen to the reporter tell us how many deaths are caused directly by speed.

What a load of lazy unresearched shite. Ben Crier needs to pull his finger out of his arse and do the job hes paid to do.

Why let the truth get in the way of a good story ?

Since when has it been sensible to believe any of what the news media broadcast or print ?

I believe sports results and that is about it.

They've even been known to get those wrong.

True
I have also read press reports of matches I have watched and cannot believe the reporter was watching the same game!

Chances are he wasn't Chris - he would have been in the pub. Having already written most of the report before the game kicked off.

Lets be fair...even referees & linesmen don't see everything... and they're actually ON the park not sat in some windswept rain beaten gantry in the 'Gods' of the stands....but agree entirely some of the BBC reporting 'expertise' beggars belief sometimessmile

I saw a BBC headline the other day which said, "Girl,5, survives fatal shooting."

WTF?

More of the usual force feeding of the government propaganda by the BBC. As I always say, a speed camera can reduce road deaths by 100% if their stats say so:-

Check out this data: http://www.safecam.org.uk/CameraSites/CameraDetail...

According to this you could argue the following:-

By 2005 road deaths had been halved compared to the previous year....or...

The number of accidents in 2005 were double that of 2002, the same year the partnership took over the site. ...or....

Just one year after the SCP set up their site accidents had decreased by half...or...

Accidents and deaths have doubled at this site despite it being a mobile camera site for over two years now(2004 versus 2003)...or...

For three years there had not been a single road death on this stretch of road yet since 2002 when it became a mobile camera site there have been between 1 and 2 deaths per year. ...

The list goes on but I hope I have illustrated how statistics that show a decrease in roads deaths at scamera sites are open to massive interpretation.

Most newspapers/reporters have a specific goal in mind when they produce their reports. The BBC want anything pro-labour, the Daily Mail pro-tory etc.. You only have to see the BBC reports on the drunk, stoned driver who crashed, because he Sped away....

Not exactly news, is it?

What else can we expect fro Brown's Broadcasting Corporation (formerly Blair's Broadcasting Corporation) but this kind of pro-labour brown nosing instead of that little known phenomenon of journalism?
