Hi all - quick (but wordy!) question:

Any BiB prepared to post a view on (responsible) dark visor (ie no BS mark, less than 50% light transmission) use?

By responsible I mean strictly bright sunny/low sun days only, BS marked clear visor in bag on belt and I have a quick change (guess they all are these days) helmet so it's no hassle to change. I would not use a dark visor in any poor light condition - even overcast daytime, let alone the dark.

The reason that I am considering use of what is strictly an illegal item is that the law regarding visors seems ridiculous. Why can I not legaly protect my eyes from bright sunlight, in the only safe fashion possible when riding? The low autumn/winter sun is coming and I have no wish to be blinded. Sunglasses under the visor are downright dangerous..

Ta in advance.

Personally I wouldn't have a problem with it, especially if you had the clear one in reserve to pop on if requested, although Id imagine as soon as you need it you'll pop it on anyway.

I have my own opinion on the regs concerning tinted visors to be honest, its just common sense really.

Wraparound mirror shades behind the visor?

Worked for me.
