Ladies and gentlemen - the jammer is fitted!

Did the "remote control" test and both sensors kicked off!

Soulpatch, any chance of emailing me the photos, or posting larger ones. I can't see how the jammer looks on the bike.

I am planning to fit one to mine.

Which jammer was it incidentally.

The jammer is the snooper SLD 920. AFAIK the units operate independantly of each other (the remote control test triggered the jammer front and/or rear)

Will try and get the bigger photos tommoza when its light. The front one looks a bit crap coz i had to angle it in order for it to be parrellel to the road but the rear one is almost invisible! I didnt even have to remove the petrol tank for the wiring as they hid round the other side of the frame secured with black cable tie.

Fairly easy all round but i dont actually know if it does its job. Will need to find someone to help me test it. Either that or go through north wales at 140MPH and see how many nips i get

Same as mine then, how far apart, did you manage to get the heads?

Soulpatch, Steve off the Uk speedtraps site can test them for you, he's got all the laser guns that our favourite talivan squareheads like to go posing with and is available for testing. See the Uk speedtraps website.

I didnt. I have one at front one at back. Since technically one head can cover half of a car I resoned that one at the front and one at the back would cover the entire bike.

They work as independant modules so it should work ok.

Tried him a while ago. He is nowhere near my area so I cant get to him. Another chap on the forum is having his tested by some guy in Reading. If it works out I will be contacting the guy in Reading when im next up there visiting family or on business (which is early july i think)

Edited to say - Besides I think a trip down the A303 should serve as an adequate test judging by the last few times ive been down there!

i got mine of e-bay (eventually)
"there in stock, there out of stock, oh there in stock after all," do you want one sir?
well its on now, i must say i'd like to hear mine sound off in a controlled test, there's always the thought at the back of my mind that my installation of it is wrong somehow.

Rich check out the above link. This is where Mark.S gave some information about a guy in Reading that can do a jammer test potentially.

Whereabouts in the UK are you?

That would be northamton then

Im in Newton Abbot recently moved down from the Thames Valley, holiday home of the stealth tax.

Just e-mailed Speedtrapguides. Got a reply from a guy that is doing it in reading for me in a couple of sundays time.

Its all on the ukspeedtraps page. Might be worth dropping them a mail to see whats what? Might even be able to meet you halfway or somthing for a test.

yeah that sounds like a possible, thinking about your snooper though, will you actually be able to hear it on a bike??

I would have thought so. The noise is pretty shrill and irritating (the buzzer not the bike!) so i should be able to.

Failing that its just a pulsed 12v DC feed so I could just get a powerful LED or somthing to replace the piezo buzzer. There again I would probably miss that as well if I am looking ahead! :|

Basically if im riding along and I see what looks like a scamera van I will by default slow down, switch it off and hope they try again.
