Just a quick one chaps (and chapesses)

I know someone who drives like an absofunkinglute idiot. He got caught by one of those magic yellow boxes we all know and love doing high 50’s (I think 57 or 58) in a 30 zone. He’s been summonsed to a magistrate’s court and I’m hoping he get’s a good screwing over by our law system. Any Ideas what he’ll get for his blatant disregard for the law?

If it’s of any relevance, he was driving a high performance Japanese sports car and already has at least 3 points on his license.

I’m thinking he needs a ban and at least 6 points, what’s the reckoning?

He is a bad, bad man from what you say.

I don't think he will be making it to heaven, and that is punishment enough in my book.

I reckon 5 points.

Lady I kind of know had 9 points, 3 expired on the Tuesday and she got falashed doing 57 in a 30 in Wednesday. After a fake teary performance pretending she needed the car for work (she didn't) in court she got 5. She then got flashed later in the day of her court appearance. :sarcastic:

She's been flashed by the same camera 3 times now over 4 or so years and still hasn't got a ban....

She will go to heaven. However, due to the laws of natural selection, statistically it might be sooner than average.

Not in my book though, the boy needs his car crushing... And maybe his balls, y'know, to stop him making any more in his form.

I would imagine 5/6 points and a fine in the region of £200, assuming his income isn't huge. If he's within the first 2 years of his licence, he may have it revoked by the DVLA and find himself having to re-sit his driving test.

The current guidelines suggest 6 points OR a ban of upto 56 days.

The Magistrates will assess his ability to pay a fine and also weigh up any mitigating vs aggravating factors when determining their sentence.

I take it that this guy isnt your friend?

You could find out when the court case is, and as a member of the public you could go and watch!

You could hint to the magistrates your input on sentencing guidelines!

ability to pay a fine is fairly low. so hopefully he'll get the ban.... and a fine wink

and no, he's not a friend of mine. i shouldn't take so much interest in it but his driving infuriates me furious and his reckless manner needs punishing. y'know, there's speeding and then theres taking the piss.
