Couldn't sleep last night again, and had this idle thought:

I probably 'stray' over the speed limit on average 10 times per day (maybe more, but who's counting). The politically correct among people on here would say that should get me 3 points each time (just because I'm not caught on camera doesn't make it any better than those who are), therefore I should get 30 points per day.

That means 10950 points per year!
I've been driving for say 15 years, making a grand total of 164250 points I should have! But I would have lost 1 point per year....so that makes it 164236.

So I should be banned for about the next 164,230 years!!!

Fantastic!!!!!!

True story - Many moons ago a Judge brought his new Triumph Stag back moaning that it was missing at 110mph. The mechanics who were all sitting around having their lunch all looked at each all thinking the same thing but one of them felt he just had to comment regardless of his job prospects:

"How the fcuk can you come in here saying that your fcuking car is missing at 110mph when you are supposed to be a Judge you hypocrit?"

The Judge replied: "I only convict people that are stupid enough to get caught - what time will it be ready?"

Won't bother with the rest as the language was a bit off!

I had nearly the same problem with a Thunderace (R1's dad). It would feel "flat" at about 130, then pick up. Suspected the exup valve, but the mechanic said he wasn't prepared to road test it!! in the UK it seems a manufacturer can't be held liable for their product not being able to reach the documented top speed!!!

Good story Ribol!

I had my 79 year old, white haired old grandmother take my Heavily modified 1967 Cougar down to the mechanic and tell him it was missing at 110.
