Road Angel - Laser Detector update

Some of you may be interested to learn that I just called BlackSpot to inform them that my laser module gives me lots of false alarms. They asked what car I drove and I replied that I use the Road Angel in my TVR Cerbera and on my motorbike. She replied that they have a known problem caused by electrical noise from TVRs AND motorbikes that cause false alarms.
She then took my details and promised to send me an updated laser module once the modifications are complete, which should be "within the next couple of weeks".
They were very helpful in general and hopefully the new laser module will arrive in time and do what is says on the tin (so to speak). I have a feeling that they have been promising "within the next couple of weeks" for a while now however.

Won't hold my breath for delivery within the next 2 weeks then.
When I was on the phone she did put me on hold to check with their technical department when the updated module would be ready. Their reply was that "they were nearly there" and that it should be "ready within the next couple of weeks".
At least they have been open enough to acknowledge the problem and seem to be doing something about it.

further update - another telephone call to Blackspot.
Been told they are looking towards the end of the month now
Apparently they are due a batch in towards the end of this week/early next week for testing. They are hoping this will be successful and the revised model can be sent out by the end of the month.
BTW - there are only 12 people on the list to receive the revised laser attachment. These will be dealt with first so if anyone else has the same problem get ya name on the list asap.
