Not if it was facing towards you. Just be careful going back past it later as you know it's active now

If it was a Gatso then you'll be fine as they are rear facing only (i.e. taking a picture of the rear of your car) and are not approved for forward facing use. These flash twice.

A Gatso, yesterday

If it was a Truvelo then you may have problems, as these are forward facing cameras with the flash behind a magenta filter, so the flash has a pinkish tint. These only flash once.

A Truvelo, yesterday

The NIP has to be sent out withing 14 days of the offence (not including the day of the offence itself)

Heres to 1 year and 360something days of driving at 28mph!

If you know you were speeding and there was a flash, AND it was a truvelo, then the chances of the above are high.

If its a gatso, then consider it a warning!

Do you know roughly what speed you were doing and what the speed limit was? You need to be careful in your first two years as 6 points and you will have to retake.

most speedos overread by approx 10% so if you speedo was only just above the 40mph mark you may have just got away with it. Also they have guidelines where they dont prosecute if you are only doing 10% + 2mph over the limit i.e. 35 in a 30 or 46 in a 40.

As long as you were not doing above 66mph you are also unlikely to get anything more than 3 points and 60 fine so at least you know if you did get flashed you wont get an automatic ban.

this site is also useful http://www.5ive-o.org/forum/faq.php?faq=new_faq_it...
but i would put it out of your mind until you actually recieve the NIP.

Then (sorry) you're stupid wink

Drive carefully. You didn't see a camera (or you're really stupid!) - you've just passed your test, you don't want your license taken away even quicker do you?

Consider it a warning (even if you're given points) that you should be more careful of hazards...
