Did anyone else travel down the A329M from Bracknell to Reading this morning?

There was a white transit parked on the side with a strange turrent thing on top and no usual reflective stuff on the back that cops usually have.

...it wasn't until i got right up to it i noticed the small speed camera symbol on back of it.

first time ever seen anything on A329M! ...think i've been donefrown

despite being completely safe at 80mph serves me right for being late for work i suppose!

Most speedos overread by some margin - at an indicated 80 I am actually doing 77. Would be worth checking the calibration of your speedo against GPS if you have the facility available.

This would make your speed fall within the prosecution guidelines of 10mph +2 which I generally take as you'll be done for 79 or above.

You are allowed 10% plus 2 not 10 MPH + 2.

Looks like you'll have a nervous couple of weeks but I'm surprised there was no stickering on the van to highlight what it was doing.

You may have been lucky and it was merely a data collection exercise.

Ahem.. You are not allowed anything.

'10% plus 2mph' is the normal minimum threshold for prosecution adopted by the Safety Camera Partnerships. But it does not mean that you cannot be prosecuted for driving at speeds below that threshold.
