Two clos emates got NIP in the post this morning.
1) 61 in a 50.
2) 56 in a 40. [1]
As an accident investigator I saw lecture the other day said the only contact with the police these guys are ever likely to have is these NIPs for trivial offences.
He felt this is damaging th ereputaion of the police.
So do I.
[1] Sounds bad but the 40 limit was on dual carriageway with no junctions, no roadworks. No clear signposts. The limit drops form 60 to 40 and back up again *for* the camera. His radar detector went off and he'd set his cruise control to below 60 which was the apparent limit.
