Rode in on the M4 (as usual) this morning in the rain. Still, it's probably a good thing it was pissing down as there were FOUR cameras on tripods on the bridge just before the M25 junction going Eastbound.

Major accident blackspot that - NOT!!! They were placed after the roadworks where everybody is speeding up from the temporary 50mph limit - conveniently.

The only saving grace was that they all had waterproof covers on them as it was raining (I gather that they're not accurate in these conditions?).

GOD I HATE CAMERAS!!!!!!

As an addendum to that, if any of you come out of London on the A4, I dont know when it happened, but the crafty buggers have turned the Gatso outside the Fullers brewery around so its now taking photos of the westbound lane. Thats the first time I have ever seen it like that since it went in.

They should all be blown up and the remains sent to some a**holes backyard like Ken Livingstone. We should be more like the french in some ways and fight for our rights

They did it on Tuesday morning mate. Lots of people getting caught out on the way home!

Do you have to troll past that every day too? What you driving - I'll give it a wide berth

Funny this, some cameras appeared on a bridge over the M60 - covered in plasic bags as it was raining. They were only there for one day (there was a white van there too that said 'motorway maintainence').

I guessed they were ANPR.

Ooooh. Nasty.

I tend to accelerate had out of 50 limits on the motorway. Mainly because I've usually got a massive queue of traffic behind me as I actually *do* 50mph through them, and having 4 idiots in white vans wheeze past me 2" apart doesn't appeal. I try to get a bit of space and let them sort it out amongst themselves.....

Eyes open for them now.....

Oh yeah: rectangular plates don't get read correctly. This applies to the CC cameras as well as SPECS, 'cos they don't know what line to begin with.

Guess what I'm getting soon?!
