M1 new cameras???

I read on a thread somewhere here about new SPECS cameras been tested around 6a and 7 on the M1.

I normally get onto the M1 at J6 or J5 (depending on which way I go) and noticed tonight that about 5 poles have been erected on the side of the motorway between J5 and J2. Does anyone know whether these are going to have SPECS put on them or just normal monitoring CCTV cameras?

May have to add another 15mins to my journey time if it turns out they will be SPECS!!!

From what ive heard they are supposed to be new CCTV Cameras for us to monitor from our Motorway Control Room.
All of the Cameras have been modified/replaced and new ones are being added along that stretch of road.

I will let you know if i find out anything different.

lots of loveley speed cameras in th roadworks this morning below Northampton & MK, though only the lower lot set off the snooper, hmm Tonyrec, how far up does your patch extend?
