Just phoned a supplier of the LTi20/20 guns to see if I could acquire one.

2,500 quid!!

Now thats just the gun, the recording stuff inside the van as well etc we are probably talking at least 3 grand, so estimate 5,500 quid. Plust the cost of the van itself etc so there is probably around 20,000 for each van.

THIS COULD FUND THE PAY FOR A COPPER IN THEIR FIRST YEAR

So if the line that "we dont make any money out of tickets" is true then the police are basically wasting a copper for every van that is out there!

grrrr.

Yes, but when you hear of 800 motorists being done in a single day... 800 x £60 = £48,000. Sounds like a very good return on investment....

Why don't us Ph'ers put some money together and challenge these guns? The've had their day.

To my knowledge there is only ONE supplier in the UK and that suppliers Managing Director bounces around all the courts defending his interests should anyone dare question accuracy. He's making a fortunate!

There is a practice in business of buying a company, then withdrawing one of it's products...

Anyone feeling rich?
