Saw this in MCN so it may only apply to motor bikes but you never now.

Adrian flux for an extra £50 will give £6000 worth of travel expenses in the case of a ban.

Adrian do cars as well so you may be able to get teh extra cover on you car.

the add on is called flashguard.

number printed in MCN was 08700-771377.

like I say may just be for bikes.

I'm certain that if the government get to hear of this type of insurance policy they'll ban it.

This reminds me of "Chauffeurplan" a few years ago, whereby you could insure yourself against a drink-drive ban. You would get a chauffer-driven car! It didn't last long before it was banned!

I always thought that was a myth? Chauffeurplan is still going - and specifically states it does not pay out/provide a driver for a drink drive ban. Did it used to allow DD offences?

Partly because of economics I'd have thought not. Its OK providing a Chauffer driven car for two or three weeks but these days a DD offence is going to carry a ban of a year...not cheap to provide!

No myth! Chauffeur plan really did used to provide a chauffeur if you'd been done for drink-drive. I don't know how long they gave you the chauffeur though.

H&R do something similar with their bike policies, the rules are that you'll get £6K towards travel expenses as long as you're only done for speeding or under the totting up proceedure (I think you can't have more than 6pts when the policy is taken out though).

If you're also done for dangerous then the policy won't payout.

I have insurance with H&R (bike) and I also have this insurance.

I had 6 valid SP points when I took the policy on and I think its somthing like 6 months worth of travel should you get banned for totting up on SP offences ONLY
