How long in total?

It's still disgusting that they were in there at all.

Oh dear, can't stay quite any longer. I add my vote to the they shouldn't have been imprisioned lobby.

Used to work in casualty, and attend accidents, so been on the mopping up end as well. Think we were responsible for the junct 2-4 of M25 back then. Even had to sedate a police officer once. All very nice people, even the ones interferring with my need to drive faster than the legal limit.

There's just no easy answer to this, but in my mind I would prefer to live in a country where there were no speed limits but the speeders could only hurt themselves. I don't think laws should protect indiviuals from their own actions.

In short you get caught speeding, minor slap on the wrist. You get caught having hurt an innocent bystander, Crucifixion. Does that seem fair to all?

Julian64, here you go.

I have just read this on the Isle of Man web site.
www.iomguide.com/drivingontheisleofman.php

No speed limit
Driving a car in the Isle of Man is broadly similar to driving in the United Kingdom, and most traffic regulations are the same. As in the UK people drive on the left-hand side of the road.

Unlike the UK there is no national speed limit. There are speed restrictions in built up areas, but after passing a 'National Speed Limit' sign there ceases to be any speed restriction, although people driving in a reckless manner may well be stopped by the police.

COMMON SENSE! Oh I'd kill for a dose of that to be given to our leaders!

Should have added this to my post.

As a biker I also feel it is disgusting that they were sent to Prison in the first place. The government sucks, the justice system sucks, criminals suck. Bloody hell, there can’t be many people who haven’t broken the speed limit at some point and if we where all sent to prison there would be no one left to walk the streets.

It’s about time the criminals are treated as criminals and not as if there in a fcuking holiday camp? Give them a room with a bed, a toilet and a sink.
