Hi guys, just a heads up, hidden camera, eastbound between battersea bridge and chelsea bridge, is in front of a white scamera van, reckon they were getting about 10 people every 30 seconds this morning.

I think there was one on the M4 this morning as well. About 100yds before the roadworks at J7-J5 end...

I am hoping that they had the windows closed and the cameras off as I went past....

Were the scamera vans catching the front or rears of the cars.

Agree 100% apart from the apology bit

Actually. that's quite a well written ditty - why not send it to your local paper or the Evening Stranded?

Tonker - well said quite right! (The authorities will always go for the easy target, no matter what the scenario.)

Sounds like these vans have a new style mini-gatso set-up infront of them. The new style mini-gatso uses K band radar NOT like the old style which used to use Ku band.

Most Scamera Vans use laser where the only defence is a Laser Jammer, where as in Essex and London they seem to use new style mini-gatsos where the only defence is a Radar detector (K band).

Cheers.

Ps. West Midlands police are now getting new style mini-gatso's installed in the front of unmarked police cars, just like they have been doing in Holland for years.

Would the mini gatsos would need road marking like the full size ones.

No. They are "stand alone" and can be used with "blank" tarmac.

Cheers.
