I read that these were originally garage door openers.
Does anyone know where I can get the parts to use it on my door opener? or even pass as a plausible lash up.
Seems a reasonable defence if plod gets difficult.

Believe the only connection is that they use the same beam/freq and that LRC also make garage door openers. Those new LRC100's are the bees knees for preventing your collar being felt.

when i bought mine i enquired about a reciever unit that could be used with it.

it seems it does not exist! and maybe this possible use might save them from future prosecution perhaps!

The guy in Wales who got nicked for using one (I think it was the Snooper- a guy in our local parts shop knows him) had the case dropped!

Any comments from the BIB?

Will they trigger a laser detector ?

If so you could modify that to operate an electric garage door. If questioned - "If you'd like to follow me officer - I'll show you what it does" :snigger:
