I have a Snooper S5r detector and although the damn thing's always picking up random radar scatter and triggering false alarms (as well as working Gatsos of course!) the laser detector has never gone off before.
However, whilst travelling down to London from Manchester on Friday night it did. I was doing about 90 mph down the M6 between junctions 13-12 and the laser alarm went off. I slowed immediately but couldn't see any parked police cars/talivans/speed traps on the hard shoulder. There were no bridges that they could've been on either. There are no lights on the central reservation on that stretch so it's pretty dark but there was definitely nothing about.
Should I be worried?
