Audi TT police car?
Discussion
Was on the A33 through Basingstoke the other day and a metallic grey TT came flying onto the road with a roof bar with blue lights on it and a siren going. What the hell is all that about? No other markings on the car, yet the roof bar was a semi-permanent arrangement by the looks of it.

Last year whatever and I saw a PT Cruiser looking much the same....don't think its legal...or maybe its a doctor?
Doctors have green lights, and no priviliges to speed. One of my old school friends is a GP and he used to use one, but he claims he was stopped by William Senior whilst driving legitimately so many times it defeated the object.
Still, I guess anything is worth a shot to jump the queues in Sainsburys..

Could have been a fire officer's car. They often use their own private cars and when on duty stick the A/V system on the roof. My mate's dad was a senior fire officer and used to do this when he was on duty.
Same with paramedics.
Met one at Power Engineering, with blues in the Bonet Scoop and bond Style flick switches under the armrest for the 2 tones
said it works wonders on the motorway for moving bmws

Then it was THAT car! They were given it as a PR exercise, oh about 12 years ago I guess...it was at the motorshow...with the lucky police driver. He was very pleased with it! Said the only shame was that no-one even bothered trying to get away any more ![]()
N
That's illegal. If it is travelling on a 2001 registration plate and it is 12 years old
