You're Safer On The Roads Than At Home
Discussion
Noticed in one of the Sunday papers yesterday that 4,000 people died in accidents at home last year compared to the 3,500 on the roads. Was surprised and checked the ROSPA site which said the same.
Wonder why the politicians and 'speed kills' propagandists don't make anything like the same amount of noise over this?!
Answer - they haven't yet figured out how to turn it into a revenue raising proposition - no doubt they'll get round to it.

Check out the number of accidental deaths which occur within the NHS.............

However, if you look at the amount of time spent in car compared to spent at home, cars are much more dangerous.
Using that argument makes the NHS look positively nuclear-bomb-like in it's potential for harm.
Compare the time we spend in hospital with the time we spend on the roads.........

I bet none of those accidents in the home were speed related
I had a speed related accident in my home.... I was running up the stairs at about 10mph after drinking 2 bottles of red wine, when I slipped at the top and fell flat on my chest. Had a severely bruised rib cage and was on pain killers for six weeks.
