Caught?

Not being too well up on how you get nicked these days (touching wood as I type!) I was wondering whether I might have got caught at a bit over the speed limit yesterday.

Outside lane at less than three figures, passing some bikes in middle lane with other traffic in inside lane.

Then saw police volvo parked up on one of those ramps off the hard shoulder. Driver was aiming some gadget out of the window at oncoming traffic, presumably a camera.

He didn't come after anybody as far as I could see, so would that mean he was catching people or not?

Do I dread the postman or was he just acting as a speed deterent?

Good luck. May have been a laser gun. Depending on what it was connected to or what purpose the copper had on being there then it will probably have got you.

You may well be lucky!

I know a few guys who use Lasers whilst sitting on an EPOP and they are never photographic ones,but in the main, Motorway cars depend on Pilot/Vascar.

They could have been training.

Wasn't the M4 just prior to junction 15 Westbound yesterday?

I was doing a (GPS indicated) 72mph in the middle lane being overtaken by a Volvo doing 3 figures.

Cue panic braking.

Not a peep from the laser detector though.
