I've just read my local paper, court cases
1. No MOT
2. No Insurance
3. No License
4. Failing To Stop After an accident

Fine: £25!!!!!

25 bl**dy pounds, my bl**dy mot cost more than that FFS.

You got me good and proper in fact you wouldn't have got me any better if you pointed a LTI 20-20 at me

cases like this make the law an arse, if he couldn't afford to pay more it suggests he has no job,so they could have banned him (if the law allows )

Yep - this is a total arse - seems the whole world's gone effing mad.

Really, magistrates should not be able to get away with this type of nonsense - makes you wonder if it would have been any different if someone had been killed.

Utter bollox - what the hell is this country coming too - the offender must be pissing themselves at this one.

Sad times.

I seem to remember a story from a while ago when a 12 year old boy was caught driving a car. Anyway, the magistrate banned him from driving for 6 months!

A lady pulled out of a side road into the path of my chum Pete who was riding his motorbike along a straight stretch of 'A' road and wearing bright yellow gear with his headlight switched on.

She later said she realised he was closer than she thought so stopped in his path. He had nowhere to go and died at the scene.

In court it was revealed she had been driving for 15 years without passing a test or having insurance. She was fined £125 for the licence offence and a further £125 for careless driving.

I was in court with Pete's widowed mother who has now lost her only child - he was 37 years old - and heard the lady ask for time to pay at the rate of £14 a fortnight.

So, £250 for killing someone with stupidity.

Makes you wonder what to do with the little scrotes - personally I'd have them on community service for 6 months scrubbing grafitti off walls.

I'm getting irate

That is a terrible story. Whilst she may be no crim, she should be banned for life just to keep the rest of us safe.

Its even worse when you remember you get locked up for speeding now!!

so all the above "crimes" are less serious than speeding!

by the way so is Drunk Driving someone i know just got a £200 fine for that and a 1 year ban! good job he wasnt speeding though eh as thats really serious!

edited to add he crashed and fled the scene
