Just been reading other threads on this forum, and without sounding defeatist do you think that we can really change the way the authorities publicise 'speed kills' and other blatant lies?

Only through banding together and creating a strong argument.

Ridiculing the 'public servants' creating these problems (a la Brunstrom's daughter) can only serve to help.

We really need the Media's help.

Mass public displays would really help - like everyone refusing to sign NIPs.

Would it ever happen? Not in this country....

Yes because this whole 'Speed kills' is just a trend and will eventually fade as will the domination of GATSO's etc.

As more Mr and Mrs Average get caught and fined for ridiculous and unecessary 'offences' public feeling will change and politicians wishing to gain support will create and jump on the 'lets change things' bandwagon.

Already happening in Barnet. Londons's CC is backfiring too.

my guess is in not the too distent future the will decrimanlise speeding tickets.

in much the same way as parking tickes

thus saving all the agro there getting at the moment.
and leave it to the civl cournts safe in known most fools will pay up like the do now with parking tickes.

and allow for the persentage that dont as aceptibale lose of income.

no visable asset no problem getting out of it

:Sticks head above parapet:

No! As long as anyone who tries to have a sensible discussion on the subject is immediately lumped in with the cowboy element.

By the cowboy element I mean the % who say "I'll drive just how I like, just when and where I like, and let nobody else be the judge of my behaviour"

:hunkers down and waits for incoming:

Just got back in to the country to see the 'spin king' has been replaced by some other spinners...
