Hi All,

I've had a telephone call from Renee Mickelburgh of the Mail on Sunday newspaper. They are running a story next Sunday on drivers banned for speeding (especially minor speeding) and they are looking for specific cases.

You can email her on reneemickelburgh@hotmail.com or telephone her on 07906 067443.

Apparently the number of banned drivers is going through the roof.

I remember reading in the Beds on Sunday a couple of months back about a 'famous' one hit wonder pop star from the seventies who was banned after being caught doing 34 or something on a 30mph dual carriageway in the middle of the day near Sandy IIRC.

Personally, I think the amount of drivers with totally clean licenses who still resent the system would be more interesting.

That's me - never had a point, accident or even been stopped by BiB (12 years of driving).

And I'm spitting mad

Paul,

perhaps you might want to introduce them to all of us and our experiences with speeding cases and in particular the way that even when you win the courts still want to screw you over!

I've already provided the Pistonheads url and instructions for accessing the forums.

If you have any specific points to make, use her email address and make them direct. Provide a url. That might help "draw her in".
