Got back to my car last night (parked in a decent multi-storey) to find some scrote had spat all over the bonnet.

Rang the car park today, as it was in front of a camera - and they reckon they can easily get the VRM of the person that did it - as they would've been walking to/from a car.

I know it's not the biggest deal in the world, but the kind of people that do this are the same ones who then go onto key cars too. Is there anything that I can do?

I just get pissed off that you can't drive a nice car, and park it up in a decent place wihout some censored doing something to it.

It's not going to be classed as criminal damage or any other offence I would imagine.

The person that did it needs a good seeing to though. Cheeky sod.

Can't think of offences if you weren't actually in the car or nearby at the time. *Possibly* s.5 if you were.

There's no offence I'm afraid. Unless you were there or it was at you which it wasn't.

Hope you put the car through the car wash, makes me so angry!

If I can get the VRM, then I could possibly get the RK details through the DVLA and pay a visit. I'll find out tomorrow whether they got the VRM or not.

Not only that, but if its a local car park, there's a good chance the car is a local one too. Then maybe you could keep an eye out for him and then have a word next time you see him...

Doesn't this come under the general heading of "Anti Social Behaviour"?

I'm sure there is nothing the police can or will do about a single offence of this nature, however I would report it (with VRM if you can get it) to the local police and see if at the very least they can have a quiet word and suggest that its not the done thing.

It MIGHT (but I doubt it) be that if this individual has a "string" of similar (or worse) offences then maybe they can or will take it a little further?

If no-one reports "minor" incidents like this then the police don't have any idea that it is happening and the first they will know about this type of individual is when they commit a (more) serious offence, by which time its probably too late to stop them progressing onto bigger and better (well worse) things?

Just a thought.

Agree with the principle of what you are saying, but in my force it would get weeded out as "no offences revealed" and therefore it would not be dealt with.

It's strange! Looking at various threads on here, from personal experience and from "chats down the pub", it would seem that the vast majority of cars suffering these type of jealousy attacks are either up-market BMW's or Porsches. What is the problem with these morons? Do they just resent people for owning these cars, or are they totally convinced by the stereotyping applied to their drivers?
Time to start importing the South African car theft detterent! (The one that burns them to a crisp!)

Ive been thinking about that, Alfas have metal door handles with a metal button that you press in to open it, you could put an insulator between the two and run a current from the battery biggrin!

Total lack of disrespect for anything is common round here.

It's very sad.

I was standing outside a supermarket near them waiting to be picked up by a mate. Whilst waiting, overheard a group of chavs talking about a Ferrari that had just driven past them.

Basically, after I translated it, it would appear that they were "fked off" that some "" had a "nice mota init" and one of them ventured as far to say that he would "kick the fking panels in" because the "" should not have a nice car.

Strange to think like that, because whenever I see something really nice that I cannot afford - I think to myself "How can I work to get to the point where I can afford something like that?" rather than "ooo ooo kick the fking door panels in init"

I really, really, really despise the underclass that is emerging. At least the rebellious ones in times go by had some small basic decency.

Get a DNA spit kit if you are that concerned.
Best advice, get over it.
It's only spit and was not on you personally.
A lot worse can happen in a day.
If you want to know, try a stretch on an A & E dept or an admission's ward on a mental health unit.
Then, you will see the real world...in reality!!

Ahh so because worse things happen in other places it's ok to let people do this?

Aslong as you don't get stabbed then it doesn't matter if they only beat you up hey?

Dave!
