Just spotted that the daily news mailout from WTPS had a poll titled:
"Britain's roads are officially the safest in Europe - what has been the greatest contributory factor?"
and the survey said:
26.5% said: Speed cameras and humps
29.4% said: Drink-drive education and crackdowns
16.2% said: Tougher driving tests
27.9% said: Safer cars
Hmmmm

Hmmmm
But what choices were offered?
Why are our roads safer than other countries in Europe? Surely it is because speed limits are lower, relatively srictly enforced and we have had a big campaign on drink driving.
All countries in Europe have the same cars so can't be safer cars!
All it really proves is ask the right question and you get the right answer!
