Playmobil Scameras!
Discussion
Local chip shop gives away Playmobil figures with kids meals. Imagine my shock and horror when I saw this weeks is a BiB with a mobile tripod-mounted speed camera!!
And imagine my even greater shock and horror when I woke up to find 8 year old playing "speed traps", complete with arsey Playmobil driver getting a ticket!!
What depraved mind is exposing CHILDREN to this outrage?!?

get 'em young. theyll be brainwashed into speed kills at an early age big trouble for petrol fans everywhere
Seriously this is happening, even Bob the builder installs traffic calming! and Noddy gets nicked for speeding!
They may find it difficult to change our attitudes to speeding but if they can brainwash the kids then their 'problem' is solved within a generation.
I mean why is it that kids are not taught to cross the roads properly but when the BiB visited my kid's school I got a bollocking (only once mind
) from my then 6yr old son for exceeding the speed limit!

Its therefore out job to teach the future generations what really matters:
Hear, Hear - and I'm doing my bit, My kids (4 boys) have a motorbike and 2 quads (no cars yet - they're too small to reach the pedals!) and they enjoy riding'em fast, they go to Moto GP, WSB, drag racing, speedway etc with me. When they are old enough to ride/drive they will be taught 'properly' and be offered track days etc.
Political correctness is a non-starter and speed definitely 'matters' in my house.

ive had that one too.i was out with my mate and his kids and we were in a 40 limit and i was doing bang on 40mph when his daughter (11 years old) pipes up from the back "slow down,i hate going fast!" before i could say anything my mate turned round and said "he's doing the speed limit,he isnt breaking any laws....NOW SHUT UP!"
she then kept on about "what if he hits this OR that",my mates reply was "when you have driven a car for as long as him THEN you can critisise his driving.you dont have any clue about how to ride a pushbike properly, let alone how to operate a car.i have been in a car with tony more times than i can remember and i have never even felt mildly worried at any time.........NOW FOR THE FINAL TIME SHUT UP OR YOU CAN GET OUT AND WALK HOME!!!
i just sat there smiling to myself.

They probably gave her a confidential helpline number to call in these circumstances!!
Are we now doomed to get a "SpeedChildLine"?
Children who are being forced to sit in their parents cars doing 41 in a 40 can call up a confidential number and shop their parents.
You will then get 40 armed police and many social services candidated decending on you and you will be put away for a veeeeeery long time.
Good news for the murderer next door who after coming back from his free state funded holiday can now happliy murder away - SO LONG AS HE DOES IT SLOWLY!

NAh won't work you will now be a speeding peadophile, and will still be reported.
But you would only be prosecuted for the more serious offence - SPEEDING!
When all the trafpol are extinct it will be great! We will have bank robberies that are garunteed to get away as long as they do it at 29MPH!
I'm just trying to find out where to get one of these Playmobil things. I'd love it to sit on my desk at work, just so I could hit it with my fist every now and again. Anyway, does anyone know where I can get one from? I've looked on the playmobil website (here's the link.... www.playmobil.de/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/gb/-/GBP/PM_StartFrame-Start;sid=23xzznpf_gJzykU6FW2wQSaLVtmqi3YaWyA=?link=http%3a%2f%2fwww%2eplaymobil%2ede%2fis-bin%2fINTERSHOP%2eenfinity%2feCS%2fStore%2fgb%2f-%2fGBP%2fPM_BrowseCatalog-WorldList%3bsid%3d23xzznpf_gJzykU6FW2wQSaLVtmqi3YaWyA%3d ) and I can't find it. Although I noticed that they do sell Playmobil parking meters... I'm never buying these for my kids I can tell you!!!

So, when they're in the car, I take extra care whilst driving. (Possibly the easiest way to lose certain privages would be to do something stupid and scare/hurt either of them).
However, following el-numpty down the NSL road at about 35mph. Which is their right.
It's my right to select second gear and overtake them when it's safe to do so.
So, 2nd cog, full throttle. Huge sucking roaring noise from the HKS kit. Blast past numpty. Shift back to 5th, and the dump valve recirculates unwanted boost back to the intake.
Little voice from the back;
"That was great. Make it do it again. Make it make the noise again".
The following few miles were marked by my kangerooing speed.....
Good girl......

A story my parents told me....
When I was five I was sitting in the middle of the backseat of our family car, my mother was doing 30mph and wasn't paying much attention to her driving. She proceeded to crash into another car and I (not wearing a seat belt) flew forward off of the back seat and landed headfirst in the passenger footwell... I emerged a moment later to say "Again, again, please do that again!!!"
