ANPR / Talivan NOW M40 J16

Coming home this evening spotted white van on M40 J16 south on a bridge, but you you don't see the camera tripod until you pass under the first bridge which is only about 50yards before. Further up the motorway there is a squad of marked police cars and motorcycles waiting with flashing lights sitting waiting to stop vehicles.

I suspect this is ANPR rather than a Scamera van. Well i hope so anyway, as even though I was suspicious when I first saw the white van parked near the bridge I didn't slow down much and passed the camera at about 85mph.
I didn't get stopped and my Road Angel Laser did not detect anything either.

Does anyone else think this is probably ANPR ?

Saw a few in Exeter. Would most likely be ANPR as the scameras would just send you the NIP in the post. Why have police officers hanging around on the road when they could be eating donuts ?

I went down the m1 today these cameras were nearly at every junction .I got on at j28 south bound j27 two cameras on overpass plod in entrance lane in coned off area omega on the way to j26 mercedes cop car pulling a car no overpass at j26 on entrance sliproad plod in his car again in verge past services and another mercedes pulling another punter down to j25 no cameras on over head none on entrance slip road into 50mph limit not a sign of a cop most traffic was doing 50 a few at 70 -90 out of speed limit at j24 no cameras no plod j24 a sliproad onto m1 cop in a car sat on verge non then down to j21 then a lone cop car patrolling down to j 19 when I got off seems like they are short of some cash as its the end of the month silly me they are making the highways safer for us .I was listening to talk sport at the time mike dikin and some numpty safety guy would not have it speed does not kill bad driving at speed or no speed is the killer still brent shows us that if we stick together its the beginning of the end for chairman blair.POWERETO THE PEOPLE!!!
