Last night, on some East Midlands regional news show, they did a 15 minute bit on Nottinghams speed cameras, usual tosh about them being the saviour of the world as we know it, and they had the nerve to keep interviewing the mother of a kid (who was killed on the road that now has specs on it), at a point with 4 pelican crossings on it but somehow this wasn't mentioned
and they kept making her look through the tuf tuf club website at all the charred Gatso's
with her giving it the full 'think of the children' rubbish

I saw that programme too.... I know that there were at least a couple of crossings... but four?!
The producer of the programme probably didn't give a monkeys..... speed (sorry - safety) cameras are a hot topic at the moment, so don't worry about the facts, this made great regional TV!
Typical media spin I'm afraid!

Think so, not my usual route anymore
but it was the crossroads opposite the Commerdore and I think theres a crossing on each road, so a safe crossing is possible whichever road you want to cross
unless of course your a head down run for it without looking 10 year old
