From today's EDP, it's about a camera which has been torched:
'...When it was first installed, several years ago, it was catching about 100 speeding motorists a day, he said. However, it was now catching about 20 in four days, which proved motorists were slowing down and responding to its presence.
"The fact that this has happened to a camera outside a school is rather concerning. It does not catch a lot of excessive speed now so it is not there for the revenue - it is there as a deterrant" he said.'

That is concerning and a definite no-no for the anti-camera campaigners.

I guess the "concerning" sentence relates to the camera being destroyed?

But I like the last sentence! "It does not catch a lot of excessive speed now so it is not there for the revenue ...". The implication is that if a camera does "catch a lot of excessive speed" then it must be there for the revenue.
