Sex act fatal crash driver jailed

A drink-driver who killed a father and son in a motorway crash was performing a sex act on himself minutes before the collision, a court heard.

Imran Hussain was driving at speeds of up to 120mph minutes before he ploughed into the back of a Fiat Punto carrying the Proctor family, from Wakefield.

Gary Proctor, 47, and son James, 16, died in the smash on the M62 motorway near Rochdale, on 3 August.

Hussain, of Bradford, was jailed for eight years at Manchester Crown Court.

Utter idiot, but a staggeringly light sentence...

Or otherwise engaged?

A drink driver doesn't mean drunk though does it. He could have had drink but been under the limit.

Whereas a drunk driver to me would say someone over the prescribed limit.

Maybe reading too much in to the words but as most post nowadays on PH, all people seem to try to do is get a reaction by posting certain things and leaving others out.

I would but the editing times have been deleted from the original post!

There was nothing in there original post about him being drunk behind the wheel just having a toss and crashing.

Welcome to the 21st century grandad!

Seriously though this incident is not really as bad as it sounds. Albeit he was drunk, it does not say how drunk and might have only been an incrimental amount. Sex act in car, was that proven? All it said was that he had "it" out when passers-by looked. Who knows what he was doing, perhaps he just got his jollies from that fact. Who knows whether he even began the "process". What is wrong with driving at 120 mph? Perhaps nothing however when drunk I suppose that is reprehensible, but how drunk?

It was pretty unforseable that two people would die as a result of this.

I think 8 years and 15 year ban is excssive, totally unnecessary and unjustifiable.

As a law student what would you have expected a dangerous, drunk driver who killed 2 people to have got...maybe they should have sat him on the naughty chair and told him to think about what he had done...rolleyes

How do they know he was at 120 beats per minute? Could they see his appendage or did he admit it or were there witness marks on the dashboard? It seems like a really strange situation, who the feck gets a hardon on the motorway. Seems dead weird to me?
