Celebrations - NIP been withdrawn!!!

Yes!!! Today received a letter from Sussex Police writing to inform me that a recent NIP has been withdrawn with apologies for inconvenience or distress.

It was not for speeding. I stopped after seeing a minor accident to help the driver. Some tosspot thought I was involved and notified the police that I had not stopped/provided details etc. even though I had been there for 20 minutes. No police were in attendence as it was not required.

Anyway - wrote letter to plod explaining, and filled in top section of NIP and filled in Part 1 which asks if you were the driver of the vehicle at the time of the alleged offence but did not sign it. Realise now I should have had Mrs Bongo fill it in or type it.

I photocopied the filled in NIP and sent the copy back along with a copy of my letter stating I had complied with section 172 etc etc - both unsigned just in case.

Plod have accepted it all and no problems with not filling in the NIP.

And Outlaw - I crack up at all your posts. Keep up the good work.
