Hi all
Got a letter from the London police yesterday
Informing me that I had set off a speed camera and to identify the driver. It was near tower bridge

I have no issues with this caught fair and square. (My arse )There is no mention of the speed. The only thing they have asked me to do is identify the driver so they can start procedings
My own fault I allowed the car to speed up going down a hill.
Question are:
I'm from the republic of Ireland and been living in the Uk for 3 years driving on an Republic of Ireland driving licence?

1) Do Identify myself I (It reads from the letter, I must do, only driver of the car etc)

2) What are the likely penalaties ?

3) Can the Uk police force put points on my Irish license

Any help is gratefully received

Friend who had an Irish licence filled out the form. She was told a fixed penalty could not be offered due to inability to place points on the licence.

Went to court - standard £60 fine, no points possible
