Crashed me bike today. Only have myself to blame not going into details too much partly because its a bit of a blur anyhow..

There was a Police car on the scene already who came over and looked after me called an ambulance and sorted someone to come and pic up the bike. they couldnt have been nicer not one bit of attitude even though there could have been.

So thank you to the two guys

The question is they went away seemed quite happy but they did take witness statements am I gona get a nasty letter in a week or two? or as they never said anything about prossecuting will i be ok?
No other vehicles were involved

its just the careless driving charge that has me worried.

Sorry to hear that pesty. I'd be surprised if you get a careless driving tug unless you have damaged property (e.g. road signs, barriers etc), or scared the be-jesus out of someone.

I take it you are ok? How about the bike? Was if the GSXR in your profile?

If it's a single vehicle accident with yourself getting only minor injuries ( I hope ) then I would say you are unlikely to be prosecuted unless you were seen riding in a manner likely to cause a problem.
Even if the decision was taken to prosecute in this case you are more likely to be given the option of attending an NDIS ( National Driver Improvement Scheme ) instead of a court appearance, big fine points, extra insurance loading etc.
If this is the case, TAKE IT!
Hopefully it won't come to that for you.
Get well soon & get the bike back in one piece.

Pesty, this is a first, a biker involved in an accident saying "I only have myself to blame".
Every biker I know who's ever had an accident has always blamed it on someone else. 10/10 for your honesty mate Hope it doesn't hurt too much!
