Appeal to Strasbourg
Discussion
Read an article yesterday about a guy in Hampshire whose car, a 1938 Alvis Speed 25 got caught by a speed camera doing 47 mph in a 30 mph limit. (must have been a ringer officer, there are loads of Speed 25s round here).
He refused to reveal the drivers identity and has been prosecuted under the RTA. Idris Francis is driving the Alvis to Strasbourg to plead his case in the European Court of Human Rights, aided by the ABD who have apparently set up a fund to help with legal costs.
