Lol, Nip was filled out and not signed, and very efficiently they have photocopied the original, and sent back a photocopied copy of the Nip, with a letter on surrey police paper saying "driver to complete and return form. thank You" no signiture or anything, rude bastards lol.

The area where it was left unsigned has however been "highlighted" with a green highlighter. It has also been date stamped.

Anyone had this?

hmmm.

Was it sent recorded post?

If not, these things do get lost sometimes in the post...................

Yes - same thing here, although I had the original sent back with pink highlighter on the signature line. Sent it back unsigned with no other letter.

They sent me the original back so I kept it. 7 months down the road I have been summonsed for failing to disclose driver details. I'm pleading not guilty. Probably won't give evidence but may offer a statement.

Hmm, wonder what the legal implications would be of persuading of child (under , say 15) to sign the NIP?

Yes - just sent it back again normal first class (that's what they used!) I have the letter they sent with it as proof I submitted it in the first place. Just don't sign it and keep sending it back, then they'll threaten you with 'failure to provide info' at which point you write back and tell then they're talking cobblers!

boosted was that the last communication you got for them? Eg the next letter was a court summons?

trying to decide what to do, although not signing and not sending it back if probably pretty much the same as not sigining AND sending it back lol?
