so how long till a truck driver has a 'dog run out in front of him' and a few of these numptys are splattered into the pavement?

at least we all wont need range rovers like clarkson as its gonna be easy to tie them to the towbar, rip them out of the ground and drag along a lane or 3!

vigilanty scamera operators......a bit like the kids who work at maccy d's because they didnt have the i.q to work at argos!

A village near me got their own gun for a while (Heath and Reach). I made a deliberate point of using a lwer gear than necessary. The operator's head would whip round when they heard a car roaring along, only to realise they'd been had, because I was in second and only doing thirty.

Well it made me laugh anyway.

I doubt if any self respecting PHer would want to go anywhere near a place called Milton of Campsie. Sounds like someone Graham Norton might be interested in, sweetie........

References to making speeding as socially unacceptable as drink-driving are seriously undermined by such as this:

Figures released ... by Greater Manchester Police (GMP) show more motorists were arrested for the offence in August than last Christmas.

During a force-wide clampdown, 13% of drivers breathalised were over the limit compared with just 8.5% over the festive season.

And police say this summer's record temperatures are the reason for the increase - because people drank more alcohol to keep cool.

Inspector Brian Wood, Force Road Safety Officer, said: "The lead-up to Christmas is traditionally a time when we focus on drink driving but the effect of alcohol on drivers is every bit as dangerous in the summer.

"GMP continually advises drivers not to drink and drive and the figures from this campaign confirm the need for continued police campaigns."

I suppose the other question to ask is what percentage of drunk drivers are involved in an accident compared to the percentage of speeding drivers inolved in an accident? Not forgetting to remove the speeding drunk drivers from the latter figures!
